The alleged lovers of Anne Boleyn were executed, do you think they were guilty?

Fantastic idea for a thread!

No I don't believe they were guilty Henry VIII sent for an executioner from France before Anne Boleyn was even tried.

IMO Anne's cards were marked when Catherine of Aragon died and she had her miscarriage shortly after

Guilty of aggrandising themselves, certainly.

Thomas Cromwell, well, I think he was dogged in his pursuit but didn't quite see that his own end would be so similar.

Agree, that if she had carried a son full term she would have been "safe".

For an incredibly intelligent woman she was downright foolish to make enemies of Thomas Cromwell and the Duke of Norfolk especially with the Howard-Fitzroy connection
