Anyone else want to chat about this period of history?

Yes :)

I watched a good documentary on iplayer recently about a woman using satellite imaging to find new excavation sites...

Whole towns have cropped up. She may have inadvertently changed our understanding of Ancient Egypt!

Did you watch "Egypt's Lost Queens"? The presenter was stretching a point about the "real ness" of their power but it was good.

Hi I know this thread is old but I love ancient Egypt. Did anyone see the programme about finding the hidden door in Tutankhamun's tomb possibly leading to Nefertiti.

tinatsarina has there been any more news about that?

I am a big Ancient Egypt geek. I have even theme decorated my lounge with lots of Ancient Egyptian decor.

Been fascinated since school projects in the 1980's, but have not yet managed to go to Egypt. It's on my bucket list.

It's on my list to. I haven't heard anything else yet might try google now to see if anything comes up.
Do you have any dynasty you particularly like or do you just love them all? Mine is early 18th but especially hatchepsut she seemed badass. I also like tutankhamun but that's because of fond memories learning about him in school.
