Did anyone see Chivalry and Betrayal last night?

If you didn't see the start of this series on BBC4 last night and are interested in the Hundred Years' War at all I'd highly recommend catching it on iPlayer. Can't remember the name of the woman presenting it but she did a great programme on Anglo-Saxon treasure a while ago too and last night was fascinating. I find Edward III one of the most interesting medieval kings and as much as I consider myself a pacifist I do love a good medieval battle!

I really enjoyed it and found out loads of things I didn't realise I didn't know! Have made a note to watch it next week. I think the Penguins were on the same time so it passed many by.

I enjoyed it too. Fascinating stuff well presented - I can't resist a medieval battle either.
Then I carried on watching the next programme which was by Janina Ramirez again. That was about Anglo Saxon art on which she's extremely knowledgeable.

Oh, yes! I've started watching on the iPlayer, and it's very interesting! I really like the angle of the scheming bastard who played dirty to win; that's history, again and again, isn't it?

The presenter's name is Janina Ramirez.

Yes, I watched it last night, expecting the worst (TV +history=crap IMO) but it was excellent, can't wait until next week.
