Have you heard of/used
these?
I've spotted a course I'd like to do, but never heard of them and am a bit anxious about handing over £300. What if it's a scam? Would it be a scam?
I'm protected if it's on a credit card though aren't I?

I have just this minute signed onto a distance study course in social work with children and families NCFE level 4 which i checked is a valid qualification, is in date, and is nationally recognised.
My HOmeStart training doesn't start until October but am looking at some other voluntary stuff in the morning.

I will get there, one way or another!

I'm with MathsMadMummy & most of the above. Do not touch private companies. Go with the OU. They offer "stand alone" courses that will boost your employment chances, expecially as you will have done them under your own steam.
