to go to summer school? There is a compulsory 6 day summer school as part of my OU post-grad course.

Am a SAHM with three girls, 6, 3 and 14months (by then) and am feeling nervous at leaving them - particularly the little one.

DP is worried DD3 will be upset at no mummy around, but is otherwise confident looking after them all.

I need a kick up the bum/ some reassurance

They'll be fine. And if they're really really not fine, then you can come home - the world won't end. Go - have fun, enjoy the break.

I did this 16 years ago when dds were 2 and 5
it was daunting but i had a really brillaint time and the dds and Dh did too.

It was so good to be defined and known by my own personality and abilities and not to be mum of DDs iyswim.

My course involved subsequent residential weekends and Dh enjoyed taking charge and they did all sorts of lovely things together, which was good for all of us.

The residentials really helped me get over the SAHM confidence deficit.

Go for it!

BTW DDs barely remember my absences now!
