Should I do a 30 pt - I need a 30 pt at level 2 & things are a bit hectic atm; but it means I miss doing my 60 pt until next feb

Or do I do the 60pt and get ahead of myself

If things are hectic I'd do the 30pt and do the 60pt next Feb.

bonkerz · 10/01/2010 21:25

whats the course?

bonkerz · 10/01/2010 21:27

im doing a 60point course right now and managing to juggle working part time, looking after 4 yo DD and 9 YO DS as well as home etc.

Katymac · 10/01/2010 21:27

I have 120 at level 1 & 30 level 2 already

I have to do 30 at level 2 - but I really wanted to do the 30 in the autumn - but I can't find one

I guess I will have to take another year

I'd go for the 60 pointer now if that fits in with your degree plan better than doing the 30 pointer now and the 60 pointer next year. The workload on 30 point courses tends to be the same, just over a shorter period (I haven't looked at your courses in particular though, so forgive me if I'm wrong on this!). If you're particularly busy at the moment and can't realistically make time for study then perhaps better to take a few months off until things are less hectic (if they're going to get less hectic, that is!).

That is what I thought

but it just seems bit much to take on atm ....maybe delaying would be better

I don't want to loose a year tho'

OP posts:
Katymac · 12/01/2010 21:23

or maybe this one??

Are you working towards a particular degree katymac?

Katymac · 12/01/2010 21:31

Not really

I have 100 pts at level 1 & 30 pts at level 2 from an "international shipping with naval architecture" degree I started in '89

I just finished this one which was OK but not that much fun iyswim - but it was very like my level 3 in management

So I have my year one sorted

I plan to do this one & unless I hate it this one

which leaves 30 pts at level 2 & 60 pts at level 3 to find

TBH it is the 30 pts at level 2 which are a problem

They all start in Feb.....which kind of wastes a year

i need a 'degree' to manage a nursery & I though business/systems would be more use than childcare for a mgmt role.
Once I have finished I need to do an EYPS which should take about 6 months on top - so I am about 5 yrs of finishing

You need to move quickly if you're going to do one this Feb!

I'd just go for whichever course appeals to you most tbh. You don't have to do them in strict order either: I did one level 2 course followed by two level 3s and now I'm back on level 2 again.

Are you studying for business or pleasure?

Katymac · 12/01/2010 21:37

Bit of both - I think I have until 22/1 for most of them

But I must get my tesco points cashed in first & I don't know how many
