Studying for professional doctorate with baby

I'm thinking of doing the doctorate course in educational psychology next year and I'm wondering whether any mums out there have done a similar thing with a baby? I know the course is busy and although I really want to do it and it will give our family a great lifestyle in the long run I don't want to be a mum who never sees her kids! I'd be 34 when I finish it and don't want to leave having another baby that long so I'd possibly be looking to take a 6 or 12 month break mid-course to have another one. Has anyone on the educational or clinical doctorates had a baby whilst on the course and managed okay?
