Ds has deferred his place till next year. Will it still be there?

If he wants to try for a place this year - ie bring his deferred place forward, is that possible?

I am really worried that by next year there won't be enough places to go round.

If he has an offer for next year then he's safe. He could ask the university he holds his offer from if they would accept him this year, but be prepared for the answer to be no. He could also try going through Clearing if he wants to start this year, but I suspect that Clearing places will be few and far between.

There have been no announcements that places will be cut even more next year - in fact there should be 10,000 extra places available next year, although for what we don't know unti the criteria for bidding for these extra places is announced in the Autumn.

So I wouldn't worry assuming he has an offer.
