I think I'm dyslexic and have coped very well but not diagnosed thanks to the modern invention of spell check.
I would like to study for a new career as a tourist guide.
Any one able to talk me through how I work my way through the problem, get on various courses and get through the studying?
I know it a big ask but you are very bright people

Hi, I think adult ed centres should be able to hook you up with someone who can do an assessment, fix you up with extra funding which pays for a study tutor to support you. Good luck!

Anyone with dyslexic out who is/has been studying tell me how you did it?

I'm a dyslexia teaching type person (not adult) and I'm pretty sure that you will be able to apply for support as an adult learner once you register. Find a course, a college and then find out what you're entitled to.

You can apply once in the system. I am adult with diagnosed visual dylexia and dyscaculius (?sp!).

I was 'noticed' when I was two thirds of the way through the course and then they applied for everything. They have given me advice sheets on advice for employers etc

I am amazed as this is my second degree and nobody ever said anything before but I have to admit - they were astruggle before diagnosis!!!

Good luck
