I have 3 kids, 14, 9, 2. I am doing access to nursing. I have a law essay to do this week, biology paper, nursing essay and a psychology essay. I am going away with friends next weekend and I am shattered.

I am doing really well and my grades have been really good, but I just want to sit down now, watch tv and have an early night. Not plug away at 3 essays and a paper.

Please tell me how you get yourself motivated and organised...im so tired.

That seems a heck of a lot to have to do in one week. Have you let it build up? I would work out what you can get done realistically and request an extension on what you can't manage this week. Good luck.

Spam - I did access a few years ago. My kids were 12, 9 & 7. It was tough going but I really enjoyed it.

My tip - Do the one you dislike most first.

Keep at it - is it to get you to uni or just something to stretch you?

spam....it is tiring, isn't it! I just started my OT degree...and am still gtting used to everything!
But my Mantra for motivation is:
It will be worth it in the end

I assume it's not all due in just yet?

MoreSpam, there's a thread in student parents for all of us who have work to get in! Come and join us there.

You can do it.

I did an Access course a few years ago. Just stick at it because it is a really good grounding for going on to a degree. I am in the final year of my qualifying law degree and I am being backed to become a barrister. This is something I never thought possible 5 years ago. So please don't give up. Anything worthwhile is not easy.

PeachyAndTheSucklingBas · 14/11/2008 20:01

It gets easier honest, mine were 1, 3 and 4 when I started I think

I did find it excellent in my degree, i flew right in and didnt have the settling time others did, I got into each course I applied for includng bristol so pretty good. I got a 2:1 in the end which is OK, esp. when you think I had a 5 week old baby during finals LOL

Seriously, keep going. Its one year of your life. If you really need a break now, have one but get up earlier tomorrow to make up for it.

Can I just say............WOW Peachy....that really is amazing stuff you know...rather inspirational
