I have managed to get on a fast track 'GCSE' in English (it was full but loads dropped out) and I haven't studied for about....um.....lots of years. I really want to do this to help my children. One of the first things I have to do is attend a debate on the 'Credit crunch - Is it making people live within their means?

I have not debated for years and I have put myself on the 'for' team.

Help please. I wouldn't normally ask but it really has been years since I debated. I already have an 'o' level B in English.

What do you need Ginger? Facts and figures or debating techniques?

There are some v v v sharp people on here who've seriously debated the credit crunch.. you could archive for some comments?

You need 3 or 4 sets of facts that support your opinion and also to anticipate your opponent's argument so that you can put this down in your speech.
