MacBook Air for A levels and university: 13 or 15 inch?

We are buying DC a macbook air for A levels and university. Not sure if we should buy 13 or 15 inches? Anything else we need to look at?

Would be grateful for advice.

I think 13 inches is fine unless you are doing graphic design when you'd probably want a huge screen anyway. Is slightly subject dependent.

13 inches is absolutely big enough. Bigger isn’t always better unless you’re doing lots of photo retouching/editing work.

I have both. The 15 inch one is quite a bit heavier which makes a difference to carrying it around. (I consider it a bit like an 'hand and a half' sword)
13 inch is easier to lug about, but I need a larger screen now at my age 😕

You could always add a monitor to use at home if a bigger screen is needed. If possible go and look to see if the keyboard on the smaller one feels cramped but lighter is better if carrying around.

I read some feedback that laptops that are too big don't fit onto the surfaces in lecture halls and you end up having to balance them on the edge. So I think smaller and more portable may be best.
