So after renting ourselves for over 10 years and never coming across this before. One of our children has moved into private university accommodation with 5 friends and they've just had a bill from Huddle which are a utilities management company rather than a utilities company (although noted their utilities supplier true energy is at the same business address so must be linked).
And they've sent an estimated reading and won't let us submit an accurate moved in reading (photos and dates real estate company took) and updates (we have photos) so the bill can be paid - unless we sending them the full rental contract.
I get why if someone wants a quote or a contract with Huddle why they would want to see the rental contract - but to pay a bill generated after a previous tenant has left is just weird to me as we would basically be sending in all the private contact details for the other parent guarentors. Plus Huddle would have the rental agreement and final figures from the previous tenants rental agreement.
Has anyone come across this?
And can anyone recommend a utilities company management company for students. thanks
