For context I have a 15 month old and I’m due to start uni in a few days I just wanted to here people’s experiences and how they found juggling the two, luckily my course is only two days a week, and I don’t doubt for a second that it’s not going to be hard I just wanted to hear other people’s advice as I am slightly nervous

hi! Congratulations on starting university and all the very best. I've not had this experience, however, as an academic at university and having had many students with different life circumstances etc, I'd say that it's very important to get into the routine of university - and see it as more or less a 'full-time' job (if it's a full-time university programme).

I'm sure you won't do this, but for example, don't just take it as two days a week course and that's it. Even if there are no classes on the other 3 days, do get on top of the readings, assignments, activities. Participate in the group work etc. Where possible attend seminars, webinars etc. I hope that you will also have child care in place, at least for the majority of the work week. Otherwise, it'll be super difficult to keep on top of assignments, reading etc plus your child.

Good luck!

Are you working as well? Being organised and starting assessments way in advance of deadlines helps. I find the exam period stressful but study when kids are in bed.
