Anyone else still waiting to hear about Edinburgh accommodation?

DD1 has a place at Edinburgh for this year. She got an email on Friday to say she would hear about her accommodation by Sunday. No email so far. Should we be worried? She has her new Edinburgh email all set up on her phone. Is anyone else still waiting?

If she got the e mail then she is in the system. Offers were still coming through yesterday and discussed on the ‘parents of students at the university of Edinburgh’ facebook group. Apparently the accommodation people are very helpful if you phone them. Hope she gets one of her five today.

DS found out within a few hours of A level results so I think they are pretty quick - although all his choices were Pollock Halls catered so I think the process is probably a lot easier as they are all the same apart from en-suite or not. Probably more factors to take into consideration when allocating self catered as they are so different.

We are still waiting, I did call them and our DD is in the system!

Also called and they said ‘in the next few days, but call back if you haven’t heard by Friday’. Not very reassuring. Really hoping she gets the email soon!

We finally have an offer not one of her preferences but something much nicer at a way lower price than is advertised on the accommodation website!

Wow - result! DD is making a very long shopping list for when we arrive in Edinburgh. We are going to be busy. Her accommodation is quite central which will be good for her once she is in but I am a bit nervous about parking for drop off. I am sure all will become clear.

Thank you, the parking is a concern but depending on where your DD is allocated there are pre-bookable options so that might be worth a look.
I’m slightly concerned about getting everything in the car and we have a 6 hour drive!

Exciting for them though!
