Durham uni confirmed offers 2026

Worry over - DS has had a confirmed offer to Durham to study Engineering.
Does anyone know when colleges are confirmed? He has been allocated a provisional place at Hatfield.

DS is going into 2nd year Engineering (Cuths), see my reply on this thread about what & when stuff happened last year.

DD just got her place at John’s confirmed! Absolutely delighted for her and so good to know for sure that’s she’s in her first choice college! Hopefully your DS gets his confirmed really quickly too @negrilbaby

My DD is confirmed on Biology - allocated Stevo which we all fell in love with. It might not be as beautiful as the older colleges but it really suited her character when we visited. There were deer grazing outside the accommodation! She's really really excited and terrified.

She only got the email from college today, but her place had been confirmed before that (probably a benefit of being one of the least popular ones). I hope you hear soon!

Hello, I’m so glad I’ve found this group, it’s all becoming quite real now. My DD has been allocated a standard plus room in Trevs (I think this means she has a 3/4 sized bed but not entirely sure!). Off to read the thread from last year now!

Oh now I’ve read last years thread and worried myself about an advance licence fee. I haven’t seen anything about that in my DD’s messages….have we missed something?

Oh flip - I have no idea either @Amberdarcy25 DH sorted anything that needed paid with DD, so I’m just assuming it’s all fine. Maybe I need to go back and re-read last year’s thread!

Does anything know anything about contents insurance? Is it included? Is it college dependent? I feel like we’ve maybe missed something on this, as it was included in DS’s uni accommodation so we didn’t really think about it. DD is also in a shared room so that might perhaps complicate things further?

I saw something about contents insurance being included but can’t remember where..,I’ll post if I can find it again!
