He was allegedly arrested last month with his wife or partner and with a senior colleague at the university as part of a big police investigation into money laundering, fraud and bribery at the university. This is a massive scandal - it will be very interesting to see how it pans out.

Renaming the University of Bolton the University of Greater Manchester is an example of fraud and scandal in itself. 🤭

Absolutely agree! They should have been proud to be called The University of Bolton, changing the name to Greater Manchester makes it look like they have no confidence in themselves or their town.
