My DC (just finished Yr 12) is undecided about whether to apply for Physiotherapy or Sports Science. Has anyone's DC been in this position and what did they do?
Had previously decided on Physio (has lots of WEX including in the NHS / customer facing part time job etc), predicted grades good enough - now after a couple of uni open days (attended talks on SS and Physio) they're considering SS followed by a 2 yr masters to qualify as a Physio. Rationale - thinks they will get a broader knowledge / potentially enjoy uni experience more / if ultimately they decide physio isn't for them, they have more options. Obviously that's 5 yrs of study / expense rather than 3 but we're happy to support their choice.
Anyone been in the same position?
As an extra question, does anyone have a child that has applied for both courses in their 5 choices - understand competition for physio is fierce so ultimately its better to use 5 choices if that is the path, but has anyone for example used 3 options for Physio and 2 for SS?
