Any experiences doing a gap year with Go To Co?

Has anyone's DC gone abroad during a gap year with Go To Co? https://www.go-to.co/ DD has found this company when researching options for volunteering/teaching English abroad and their offer looks good, but I've never heard of them. I've had a look at their Trust Pilot reviews but I'm never sure if you can trust them to be fully representative of people's experiences.

Anyone got any experience of them? Thanks.

I don't know this company. What is your DD hoping to achieve? I'm very wary of any organization that deploys unqualified school leavers in underprivileged communities.

I totally agree - I'm really wary of companies which charge you £thousands to send you to a poor African village to paint a school for a month and then you get to go on a safari /white water rafting. Those options definitely exist - we've seen them when doing the research!

One of the things this company offers is sending English speakers abroad, to support with teaching English and not specifically to deprived communities. So there is hopefully much more obvious benefit to the place you are going. DD is thinking of China, which is highly developed in many places.

Anyone with experience of this company?

Thanks for replying. Their website links to volunteering seem to be broken, not sure what's going on there.
