Summer holiday after A level results

DS A level results could go in any direction and am fully prepared for clearing.
if the results are out on Thursday the 13th, is it reasonable to be planning to go on holiday the following week, starting the 17th? What am I not thinking of? I am thinking maybe a day of phoning around, possibly visiting somewhere over the weekend - but having something in place by the Monday?
thanks

I think it depends on the person and the particular circumstances, which you won't really know in advance. If it is still up in the air how would your yp feel - would they refuse to go and want your support too? I think accommodation can be iffy if you end up in clearing and have seen posts from people struggling to find places in that case. It's one of those things that could be fine but could go a bit pear-shaped.

Early September? Unless you have school age dc of course. A bit cheaper and pressure off.

If DS needs to arrange accommodation this can easily take a few days. I suppose that if he has copies of all necessary docs on his phone, in theory he could do this from anywhere in the world. But it is risky. Potentially, time differences could cause delays and missing data worse.

Safer to wait a week.

I write as someone who once staffed International Clearing for my School long distance. It was a theoretical success but I found it rather fraught and I swore, never again. (Luckily our higher offer ‘took’ and we didn’t go into Clearing again during my stint on Admissions)
