There appears to be an awful lot of figures being bandied about in the press about the costs of rejoining Erasmus.

The total cost of Erasmus for 33 countries for the seven years 2021-27 is €24.5 bn. So €3.5 bn per year for 33 countries and we are one of those countries. The contributions are split according to GDP.

The UK has agreed to pay £570 million for one year with the expectation 100,000 UK citizens will benefit drawn from from schools, work places, youth organisations, apprentices, universities and FE college. See Hansard link below.

An assessment will be made of demand and then a further agreement with the EU for the next multi year agreement 2028-2034.
