Article in the Guardian.

Annoyingly, DD's Year Abroad starts in Sept 26 although last I heard she was planning on applying to be a Language Assistant anyway, so might not make much difference.

Excellent News - DD on her year abroad this year and her Uni has been particularly hopeless about arrangements for a year abroad. I wouldn't want too many others to have to go through what she had to suffer. Eventually she's now settling into life in Rome...

Good also to hear that we will also be signing up to a Youth Mobility Scheme - I could see both mine taking that option up to work overseas for a while.

This would be excellent news indeed, DC's year abroad would start in 2027. Though as the favoured option is Switzerland (also set to join in 2027 I see) may not make much difference. (Yes I am scrimping every last penny in preparation!)

Excellent news! Dd started an mfl degree this year so this is good to hear as will be abroad in 2027.

That is really excellent news. Probably won’t be in time for my 2 but in general it is such a fantastic experience, I had the best time and even spoke un petit peu of French 😉
