Physics at uni

Hi everyone

My son wants to study physics at uni and he is predicted two A stars and an A.

Anyone care to share their DC experience? Any good tips?

We have looked Durham/Warwick and he is also thinking Edinburgh/St Andrews/Lancaster/Exeter.

Still debating between them and also considering accommodation costs.

Thank you 😊

Many good options discussed already. I will mention Bristol and Southampton, which have received little attention, are both worth considering for physics. Bristol has had a notable strength in physics for several decades. Southampton has a decent department and also links with CERN and strengths in related areas of earth sciences. Glasgow and Strathclyle also worth considering if Scotland is not too far. Physics/quantum at Heriot-Watt also on an upward trajectory.
