Is this a good laptop for uni?

We know nothing about laptops and DS needs a new one before going to uni next week as his is now six years old and is running slowly. He will be studying Economics

We were looking at the Samsung Book 3 360 13.3”It seems to have good reviews but not sure if there is something better. He prefers the smaller size laptops as this looks like you can use a pen with it to take notes as well.

Looking as in same position. FS needs a new laptop but not sure what to get. All advice welcome. It's needed for essays and assignments. He has a gaming computer at home so not needed for gaming.

Yes I should have said, he’ll be taking his X Box for gaming, this is just for uni work.

It'll need Intel i5 or i7 12th gen chip, minimum of 8gb ram, but ideally 16gb, and about 512gb of storage...does the Samsung have this?

To be honest a lesser Intel chip would do.

none of that means anything to me but it looks like it matches what you have suggested.

Can he find out what his friends have or what the uni recommends he takes?

I've not used one of those but the spec looks fine for university work unless he's doing heavy AI, 3D modelling, animation etc.

My DD has just got one of these for uni, I have been using one for work for a couple of years and it's a great little machine.
