My DS was in Connaught Hall a couple of years back (near to College Hall). Casting my mind back to when he moved in, we were busy the first weekend so couldn't move all his stuff in. We travelled in by public transport on the Tuesday and took things like bedding, and enough clothes to last him until the following weekend. By then, there were already a lot of rooms occupied but also still some empty. He was able to join in the socials and start getting to know people. Then we took the rest of his stuff the following weekend.

I found it easy to park around there early on a weekend morning. The residents' parking zones aren't patrolled then so I cross referenced with the Congestion Charge periods to find optimum times: https://www.camden.gov.uk/controlled-parking-zones

I’ve just had one finish at UoL and another about to start. I learned my lesson in the first year about driving in I found it quite stressful mainly bc of DH job I always have to go solo which is tricky. I prefer to uber in from the outskirts of London and then tube or train back out to my car . Another tip
for me is not to have suitcases but soft bags that can be rolled up and stored. They won’t have room for the suitcases
and I don’t want to be lugging them back . First child had an amazing time at UoL so once they’re settled they’re going to love it I’m sure
