Only My Share - Guarantor for Joint and Several Tenancies

Thinking of taking out Only My Share guarantee as a guarantor for DC's joint and several tenancy. Does anyone have any experience of claiming off this and if so, how did it go? Thanks

Alternative option is pay your DC’s portion all upfront (if you can). Then you don’t need to sign the guarantor form.
