My daughter wants to do a foundation year in art.
The ones I know about are
UAL
Kingston
Ravensbourne

Are there any others?

Thanks

Working Mans College
The King's Foundation Diploma year (free to state school pupils)

My DD has been offered a place a UAL to start this Sept. She liked Ravensbourne but UAL is her first choice. One of my friends DS went to King's Foundation and thought it was brilliant.

Lots. I just googled the question:

  • University of the Arts London (UAL): Camberwell College of Arts, Central Saint Martins
  • City & Guilds of London Art School: Offers a Foundation Diploma in Art & Design
  • Kingston University: Has a BA (Hons) Art and Design (including foundation year)
  • London Metropolitan University: Offers a BA (Hons) Art and Design (including foundation year)
  • Other options: Regent's University London offers a BA (Hons) Art History with Foundation, and Ravensbourne University London

Foundation Diploma in Art and Design (Design and Media)

This foundation Diploma in Art and Design (Media and Design) course is ideal for students with a broad interest in digital media and design.

Most local tech and 6th form colleges do the UAL art foundation diploma (where I live there are at least 4 providers). You can also do it on line with OCAD. It doesn’t need to be done at a HE institution.

Be careful with 4 year art degrees that include a Foundation year. The foundation year may not be free, like it often is with a stand alone Foundation. Another year of tuition loan
