Question re Exeter and Bristol Unis

Bit of a random one…can anyone remember which day their DC was dropped off when they started in the first year…the Saturday or Sunday? And was there a choice? Just trying to sort out a potential work trip for September vs logistics with DD starting uni.

DD is at Exeter. You could book your moving in slot and you were given the choice between Saturday and Sunday and I think there were a few Friday evening slots. DD moved in 14th September last year.

I think Bristol freshers week and moving in is a lot earlier then most unis.

Bristol is the same as Exeter this year. Yes would be interested to know re Bristol.

My dd is at Bristol and was dropped on the Saturday afternoon (her choice) but lots went on the Friday and Sunday also. Sounds very similar to Exeter tbh

We did the drop off on Friday. Nice & chill with relatively few other parents doing the drop off so easy to park and plenty of time to unload. We went back on the Saturday to drop some additional shopping & it was a total mob. If you can manage your time to do an earlyish Friday drop off I would highly recommend it.
