Student Finance Deadline for new undergraduates Sept/Oct 2025

Hi, DD has applied to start uni in Sept/Oct 2025. Is the deadline for applying for student finance Friday May 16th, in which case she needs to send it off tomorrow or is the deadline 31st May? We do have google however it is telling us different dates. Thanks Mumsnet. We understand she can apply 9 months after the course has started however we would like to meet the May deadline (16th or 31st) if possible. Thank you in advance for your help. And yes we never leave things to the last minute!!!! :)))) x

It’s 16th. It did originally say 31st, hence google is confused.

It's the deadline to guarantee that finance arrives once the student physically enrols at the uni.
In reality, as long as the finance application is relatively straight forward, finance shouldn't be unduly delayed if applications are made a bit later.

Thank you both very much. So we need to do it tomorrow (by 16th) and not on 16th to meet the deadline?
