Loughborough May 10th Offer Holder Day for Fine Art

DD not decided yet which uni to firm but can’t contemplate going to the offer holder day in Loughborough as it is after her A-levels have started. The date is between 6 full days of Art and Photography A-levels. Surely the Fine Art department would know that these A-levels start sooner than others? It makes it hard to choose Loughborough when she won’t get to see the course properly.

Is any going to the offer holder day or can say anything about the Fine Art course there?

I don't know much about the fine art course (tho I do know a number of ppl who did it and rated it, but going back a few years tbh). I do know quite a bit about Luffers tho (my DS is there) – would that be any help? It's a big big campus in a small town so that's worth bearing in mind as it’s not for everyone. I do think the ui has a great community spirit tho. I fancy the fine art dept is off campus which may be a negative?

Agree btw offer day in May is a bit ridiculous; is that the only one? Was she not able to attend an open day?

Thanks for your comments clary. We have seen the university but not the art course. We have seen the art building is just off the main campus. The only offer holder day for Fine Art was in May. I would have thought a lot of people would have had to make their choice by then. Glad to hear the course was well rated. I’ve not known anyone taking Fine Art there.

Hi there. My son has offers from Loughborough, Exeter and Southampton and we’re undecided on which to put as firm. I keep hearing great things about Lboro. Would be helpful to know what your son likes specifically about it if possible. Just trying to get an idea ofwhat is really like. Thanks!
