Londoner not wanting to go to uni in London

my DD is London born and bred - loves it here but wants to sample uni elsewhere. Trouble is she wants law - so cannot disregard KCL and UCL - arguably the most prestigious unis after Oxbridge and Durham for law. Would it be bonkers for me to suggest she lives in London halls even though we live in Westminster?!

OP lots of food for thought but it obviously needs to be your daughter’s decision.

at the advice of a friend i discouraged my dc from going to university more than 3 hours drive away, due to moving in and moving out etc.,

Probably just wants to get away and live a uni life,
living at home in London while she’s at uni would save a fortune though

My DD is a musician so very stuck with London (3 of the top five conservatoires in the world are here...). She lived in halls in her first year and a shared flat in her second. I was keen she'd have the student experience. After that she chose to come home as there are some amazing laundry and cleaning fairies and the fridge automatically restocks itself.......................

Londoner DS did his law degree at Kent University. He loved it there, and Canterbury was always a great place to visit.
