Anyone with experience of Liverpool John Moores

Dd is just making a shortlist of open days for summer/autumn.

Most are quite self contained campus, but she likes the sound of Liverpool John Moores.

Anyone with experience of it? I’m just concerned that it’s a bit spread out and lacking in green space, and you might get a more cohesive experience where everything is on a campus in the middle of nowhere.

Though Liverpool is a great city, but maybe being in a busy city is conversely a bit isolating? I don’t know. DH and I were both at “student bubble” type unis where you spent most of your time just mixing with other students.
I feel a city park isn’t the same as more private green space.

Not Liverpool JM but I have completely the opposite view re campus vs city; I was at a beautiful city uni and I loved the city as much or more than the uni. The thought of feeling "restricted" to the campus filled me with dread, And my DC1 is rejecting Warwick, which is on paper the top course of his applications for his subject, on the same basis. So I suppose I'm trying to say that it's horses for courses; your DC might adore being in the city. I gather Birmingham is, to some extent, the best of both worlds.

It is spread out but not by far, all buildings are within 5 mins walking distance and they have accommodation facing the main building. Found them to be a good and supportive uni. The uni of Liverpool is more of one campus.
