What did your dc do for their MFL (Spanish) year abroad?

Dd is doing German & Spanish. She has applied for British Council for German so won't hear about that for a while. She'd like to go to Central or South America for Spanish. Do you have any particularly good or bad experiences? Things that you'd definitely recommend or say stay away?

I would go to Spain over anywhere in S. America or nearby.

Buenos Aires would be my go to destination these days.

Dd1, 18, is teaching in Costa Rica. She's absolutely loving it! Really struggled to find work, though - she was about to give up before her job came up. It's hard work but she's now fluent in Spanish(previously good IB ab initio level), & saving for uni.

We used TeachNomad - my ds went to Phnom Penh with them & also had a brilliant year. They give you a month of intensive training then help with the job hunt.
