Police degree apprenticeship (PCDA)

Hi
My 21 year old son would like to do the police constable degree apprenticeship (PCDA).

He is currently working in an office job which he hates and is regretting his life choices somewhat. He did a BTEC level 3 in public services but pretty much flunked it and only got a 'pass'.

It does say that a BTEC level 3 is acceptable instead of A-Levels but does anyone know if only getting a pass would prevent him doing it?

Having looked at a few different constabularies, it seems to vary so you'll need to contact your local force. One I saw said equivalent to two Es at A Level, which would be 32 UCAS points. I think (but check) a diploma with 3 passes is 40 point? However another force said ideally they wanted 80 UCAS points.

Thank you 😊 didn't think to look on the actual constabulary. Unfortunately they want more UCAS points than he has. He'll have to gain some more 😊
