I have spoken to a number of students who attend Northumbria and are not getting value for money. Poor performing lecturers, communication between them and students is dire.

What are they comparing their experience to?

TinyMouseTheatre · 16/01/2025 07:52

So what are they doing about heir dissatisfaction?

Lots of students think they will be spoon fed, as at school. It’s not school. What are the issues?

Heavingonajetplane · 16/01/2025 08:30

And?

Chemenger · 16/01/2025 08:32

You could say the same of most, if not all universities. Students’ expectations and the reality of university are often quite different.

Weird post. Who are you and what’s your interest in it?

So what are they doing about heir dissatisfaction?

DS had a few friends go there a couple of years ago and all bar one had left by the end of year 1. No question of spoon feeding needed. The common complaint was (across courses) that content was easier than A level, few contact hours and they were wasting their money. Some went elsewhere the following September and have been much happier, others into work.
