Middx uni has a great reputation. I have friends that did the Foundation in Art at Middx and then went to St Martins College and another one that stayed on at Middx to study for BA(Hons) in Fashion - she loved it!

hi-i actually studied fashion and brand promotion at UCLAN. thought the course was great really enjoyed it, only downside was that there was ALOT to pay out for regarding materials but any art type subject will be like that. regarding the campus its nice and close together i stayed in roeburn halls which had locked gates and a warden. all buildings are easily accessible there's no having to treck across one side of preston to the other.
