I'm looking into accommodation options for after the first year when it is guaranteed, and wondered if anyone had experience of this alternative student living provider?

Yes, York. Not cheap but excellent accommodation. Fairly easy to desk with, and good security/amenities. York is right in the hub of the city, a bit of travel to campus. Rooms are en-suite and well appointed.
