What are the sports facilities like? Spread out across London?

I have a feeling from a quick Google search that only Imperial has a swimming pool.

When DS was at UCL, the university bussed them up to Watford where their sports centre and playing fields are located.

There were paid facilities on campus, but DS was too tight to pay. He walked everywhere and became super-fit.

@Paaji

Royal Holloway offers swimming, the students use a local pool. The other constituent colleges will have similar arrangements.

RH has football pitches etc on campus, an advantage it has because of its location.

Which London Uni will the student be attending?

Why haven't you looked at individual uni websites?

UCL has a 33m pool in its Student Central building.

What sport is your DC interested in?

Sold it three years ago!

Still mentioned on their website though 🙃: https://www.ucl.ac.uk/prospective-students/study-abroad-at-ucl/life-ucl/campus-and-facilities

There are other pools nearby. My DC is a member of Better Gym which has a 25m pool at Pancras Square and a heated Lido at Covent Garden. There is also a pool at Central YMCA near Tottenham Court Road station.

Some indoor teams use Somerstown sports centre (it's just a school sports hall, but it does the job).

Campus and facilities

At UCL we constantly strive to make sure that all our facilities are up to date and provide the best learning experience for our students.

@TheSquareMile thank you.

Imperial is very competitive so DC is also looking at UCL.

University College London CC (play-cricket.com)

Clearly not putting all their fixtures on here but does list the main grounds used (as opposed to the training facilities). Depending on timetable/ where DC lives they might want to consider joining one of the centralish London cricket clubs instead/ as well - many of them will consider taking students for just the first part of the season at reasonable rates, and can be nice to get away from "student world" in the study period...
