Hi, my DC wants to do Mandarin at uni,
possibly as a joint honours degree. Any recommends for places that offer good courses? Thanks.

I know someone whose daughter is now in Shanghai for a year. She is studying Korean and Mandarin at UCLAN.and thriving.

@Obviousquestion The best will be the usual suspects! The Complete University guide ranks them. All DC should go abroad for a year when doing a language. To get started, look at Edinburgh, St Andrews, Warwick, Liverpool, and Lancaster and Manchester. Depending on grades of course. Uclan is rated much lower by CUG and its Asia studies.

I and many I know have studied Mandarin. SOAS considered to be one of the best along with Cambridge.
