Gap year working overseas (Japan & South Korea)

DD wants to do a gap year, working part of it overseas. Now that we are not part of the European union no sure what the chances are?

A friend was telling me that Germany has a program with with Japan and South Korea teaching English. Is there anything similar in the UK? These are the countries DD wants to go but I am sure she will consider other options too.

@Gapyear1

She could have a look at the Engineering courses offered by Sheffield, as some of them offer the option of spending a year abroad in the 3rd year.

I think that Spain is an option for that year, as Sheffield has arrangements with partner universities there.

She may really like that, if she speaks Spanish.

She may want to re-think the idea of a gap year. There is a school of thought which advocates starting at University in the autumn after A Levels; it's a personal choice, of course.

It could actually be that she would be happy not to take a gap year if she knew that her third year would be in, say, Spain.
