DSA for a post grad course after uni - how to reapply?

DS has had a DSA entitlement throughout his 3 year uni course. He now has a place on a one year vocational course as a post-grad. The course itself is a Level 5 Diploma though.
He can't seem to find out how he can continue his DSA funding? Does he need to reapply through his new institution or what? Sent an email to DSA team at Student Finance, but hasn't had a reply.

@Legacy

I think that he needs to apply again, OP; he needs to log in to his usual Student Finance account to do it.

It looks as if he has to be applying g for student finance first though, and he may not be doing this for this course.

I think that he can apply as long as he has a Student Finance account.

Did he get through his undergraduate years without any help from Student Finance and contact with them via the website?

Which course would he like to do at post-grad level?

So he is doing one further year of undergrad in a different subject effectively? Not a postgrad. Is he an apprentice or will he just be a full time student? If he is an apprentice then he isn't eligible for DSA but will get support through the institution instead via apprenticeship funding. I would contact the Disability team of the institution he is going to, and if they don't know they can find out. DSA takes about 2 weeks to reply to emails, you will get something from them eventually.

Edited

Yes, he had a student loan for his BA degree so has a Student Finance login.

I think it’s classed as a Higher Education Diploma (a DipHE?) at Level 5, so not technically post grad, but they have to be over 21 to apply. It’s a music/drama course at a specialist school.
Think he’s eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan but not sure yet if he will take it, so may just be applying for the DSA.
