Brunel university - any opinions ?

It doesn't ever seem to get a mention even though it's not low down in rankings. We're off to visit this weekend but any info would be greatly appreciated.

I only remember the basics. It started as a technical college, it was built in the 60s, and Wiki says

"Brunel has been the subject of controversy as its approach to higher education has been both market-driven and politically conservative"

Actually the wiki page on it is quite informative.

DC went to Brunel. Enjoyed their course and got a 1st. Felt the teaching was good and tutors very knowledgeable and helpful. Lived in halls for 1st year and shared a flat with friends for years 2 and 3. Easy access to central London but far enough out for it not to be a massive distraction.
