What are you all wearing for graduation day?

It’s been ten years since my daughter graduated and it’s now the turn of my step son. Is it still a formal dress code for parents eg suit and tie for men and smart dress for women or have things changed. Heels are definitely out as I remember lots of standing and hanging around. Any ideas gratefully received.

Last year, jumpsuit and white trainers.
This year for the other one I'm wearing a tea dress I wore to a relaxed wedding. Probably with sandals.

How do they fix the hood with no tie?

And no shirt button...
Same as the girls, it'll need pinning. Girls often need pins I think even if they're wearing a buttoned blouse.

DS had a shirt button to attach the hood to, but he is of slender build and it kept sliding off his shoulders. He needed to process through the streets to the ceremony but also arrive looking ship-shape, so we discreetly safety-pinned the underneath of the hood to his gown at both shoulders.
