How similar is the Oxford Uni PGCE admissions process to the undergrad entry process?

A friend's daughter did her PGCE at Oxford after graduating from another university. Would she be a good person to advise my DD on her personal statement and (if successful) the interview process for the PPE course at Oxford? My friend has offered her daughter's help, but I'm not sure how similar the process will be.

Obviously I don't know how knowledgeable this particular individual is. However, we take Oxford PGCE students at our school and have staff who are involved in the selection of students. There is nothing about the trainees, their experience of the course and our experience in dealing with the university that would suggest they would be an especially good advisor about an undergrad PS. I would, of course, hope that any graduate would have the ability to make some reasonable suggestions - but doing a PGCE at Oxford is not a sign that they will be more helpful than anyone else. They will be able to comment about Oxford, the City, of course.

not useful at all. PGCE at Oxbridge isn’t at all different from Leeds Trinity. The place they did their main degree is what would help you. So I would find an actual Oxbridge grad

Yes agree with others, you need someone who did an undergraduate degree at Oxford (preferably recent or even current student) rather than a PGCE. Not the same process at all.
