New fines aug 2024

Hello.
Does anyone know if the new rules about the fines that it's 2 fines in 3 years then prosecuted would take historical fines in the 3 years or does it start from August?

Starts in august so only applies going forward for new school year.

Ah ok, so if I took my child out in 2023 and paid the fine then take him in 2025, the 2025 will class as the first instance in the 2 fines and your prosecuted on the third?
It reads oddly on the gov website, saying fines in 'any' 3 years.

This is the HE/ University board. We all go on holiday in term time to avoid children!
