Anyone's DC going to, or been to Guildhall?

My DC has a place at Guildhall for Sept 24. I am not sure if we/ they are going to be able to get into the halls before then to take a look and see what they want to take. I know they'll get a list, but it is always good to have a prior look.

Does anyone have any feedback on the halls or just general feedback on Guildhall and their DC's experiences there?

It can be quite hard to get a place in halls as they have so few of them. One of DC's friends from the JD was initially told they couldn't have a place as their older brother was a 3rd year so they could share private accommodation with them. (Family home was 200+ miles from London). He did eventually get a room but it was a fight.
