Just that really. We are in England, DD applied to Borders campus for Fashion, looks lovely but they don't use the UCAS tariff. Does anyone know if they don't favour English students (funding?) - ? but just generally what's it like, local reputation etc. TIA

Yep, at HW now and really happy. Good campus, really good friends and pretty decent course (although 1st year so a bit of a doss to be honest).

Hi @KnackeredBack good news - what subject/Campus, and are you from England or Scotland?

my daughter is hoping to apply there next year to do Textiles. We are Scottish but live in England, so she is classed as an English student. My pal went there years ago and loved it when it was the old Galashields Textile thingy. Apart from that no idea.

Hi - I've got at DD doing textiles there & enjoying the course

I’ve asked & she can’t think of any English students- not that she knows everyone!

Galashiels is pretty quiet - I think the union is one room they put on events in

theres only about 8 people on the textile course as well

Hi OP, she's doing Biology, so on the main campus. She thinks it's 45% Scot, 40% Eng and then 15% Irish plus other nationalities. x
