Oxford and Cambridge colleges

I thought it would be interesting to try to match Oxford and Cambridge colleges by how they feel rather than by their official pairings…

I don’t really know Oxford but on a quick visit I felt these:

new college Oxford feels exactly like kings Cambridge (and is officially twinned)
Christ church feels like johns (ditto I think)
pembroke I wasn’t sure…maybe corpus?

anyone else want to add thoughts?

dd particularly interested in finding Oxford ones that feel like Sidney or queens from Cambridge?

Oxford doesn’t have any all women’s colleges so don’t think there is an equivalent of DD’s college Newnham. I think wherever you end up you tend to find a connection with that college. Oxford seem to move applications about a lot so even if you pick a college you could well end up elsewhere if you get an offer.

I'd suggest Merton and Christ's, based on degree results and stereotype of studiousness.

Johns is Balliol, I think Trinity might be the sister college of Christ Church

I’ve always been told that King’s and Wadham have a lot of similarities. (And I know of quite a few marriages between the two!)
