Something a bit different

Well, maybe not different, as in very unusual/unique, but not as common/popular as the usual Economics, CS or Mech Eng.

DC has no idea on the future.
Any gems, to try to stir an interest or at least look at subject requirements?

Probable A-levels: Spanish, History and Maths
Possible A-levels: Economics, Business, Physics, Chem, CS, Drama
Not taking/interested in: English, Geog, Biol, Classics, Medicine/Health, Environment, Art, Psychology, Education, Agriculture, Politics.
Interests: Football, Basketball and Xbox!

TIA

@sendsummer
I like Stuffbit, that's probably better than stubiff!

There is a misunderstanding there.
That text is from a reply to Hellocatshome, who suggested Post-16 apprenticeships.
In that scenario, or any before the end of a degree, DC would need to choose a profession (to start, at least) to decide which apprenticeship to go for, therefore bringing the 'career' choice (a lot) earlier in the process.

I am not pushing for DS to choose a profession now, at the time of choosing A-levels or when choosing a degree even.
Just want to be in a position where I can advise on post A-levels (whatever that is) based on the A-level choices.
At A-level choice time, I don't want him/us having to spend ages looking at careers/degrees/etc in order to decide if the initial choices (as said, probably Maths) are ok.

Got it now. It was all the talk of careers before that led me to the wrong impression. Sorry for mutating your name.

Given the A-level combo of Spanish, History and Maths, perhaps a quantitative social sciences degree at one of the QSTEP centres. https://www.nuffieldfoundation.org/students-teachers/q-step

@stubiff History, Spanish and Maths are all in the Cambridge “best combinations” list. So cannot see how they could be improved upon other than by adding/swapping in one from the next group down (which I’ve cut off!) because of a closer link to a course.

@Skule Thanks. Not many places do them but a possibility, yes.

@TizerorFizz
Yes, I think the combo is pretty good.
Future decisions will be - Physics if want to keep Engineering open, and not Maths if preferring Hist/Lang/non-Mathsy route.

@Spirallingdownwards
Combined Honours rather than Liberal Arts I think. 2/3 specific subjects and can throw in Bus/Econ/CS, that kind of thing.
