Summer theatre courses prior to college applications in US or Canada

Hi
My DD is taking GCSE this summer - she's considering scholarships in the states or Canada for her sport. She's also very keen on theatre, and I can see that there are quite a few summer camps that seem to be based in colleges in the US, focus on theatre and but last about 3 weeks or so.

Does anyone have any experience of these camps / recommendations on where to look ? Canada would be of particular interest. Thanks !!

I can’t help with suggestions for camps but be aware that such an endeavour, which sounds very spendy,, won’t help with admission to a Canadian university. Participate in a theatre program for the joy of theatre closer to home, but shlepping to N. America won’t help her get into a Canadian university.

We also don’t do sport scholarships like they do in the US. In Ontario Athletic Financil Awards (AFC) are capped at a max of $4,500. This wouldn’t cover the cost of a dining plan for 2 terms. I believe that similar caps exist in other provinces.

Thats really really helpful thank you - its a complete unknown to us and looked so appealing to her ( and spendyyy !) - staying closer to home sounds like a better summer plan. Thank you
